Following the YSHS varsity volleyball team’s championship win in the Metro Buckeye Conference last month, Phil Renfro was honored for leading the team to victory — he was named coach of the year by the conference.

The Yellow Springs High School boys soccer team won the Division III district championship on Thursday, Oct. 27, beating Botkins High 4–0 to secure the title.

The Bulldogs’ conference record stands at 7–1 at the end of the regular season, making Yellow Springs the conference champ this year. The Bulldogs share the victory with Dayton Christian, whose conference record is also 7–1.

The YSHS team competed at the Centerville Saturday Night Lights — the largest high school cross-country meet in Ohio. Cheyan Sundell-Turner ran to a third-place finish in a field of 246 competitors.
