Last Thursday, Ohio restaurants and bars got the go-ahead from Gov. Mike DeWine to resume outdoor dining on Friday, May 15. Indoor dining is permitted to restart the following week, on Thursday, May 21.
When Ohio closed dine-in restaurants and bars on March 15, the impact on local restaurants was immediate and severe.

Fried chicken is the star once again of the Drive-Thru Buffet, to open at the former KFC building, which was briefly home to CJ’s Southern Cooking after idling two years. But this time the place will go the non-corporate route.
f you’ve traveled along the south end of Xenia Avenue recently, you may have noticed the banner hanging from the former Kentucky Fried Chicken building: “CJ’s Southern Cooking Coming Soon.”
“I was always drawn to the preparation of food,” said Lawren (“Lawrence without the c-e”) Williams. “My mom says some of her fondest memories of me are when I was real little and was always trying to create dishes. None of them were any good — I just liked the idea of preparing food!”
