  • And they’re off!

    Over a hundred women and girls participated in the second annual Simply Women’s 5k Run/Walk last Saturday morning.

  • Sea Dogs shine in final meet

    Last weekend, the Yellow Springs Sea Dogs swam in the Miami Valley Swim Association Championships at Wilmington College to mark the end of their season. It was one more opportunity for the swimmers to shine in competition against hundreds of others.

  • Yellow Springs Youth Baseball

    The Twins won the only two Major League games played last week to extend their record to an undefeated 10–0 and solidify their hold on first place going into the final week of play.

  • Join t-ball for penultimate fun

    Hey! All you t-ball fans! Listen up! The Perry League is in the twilight of its 2010 season. This Friday, July 30, will be the ninth Friday night in our 10-Friday night t-ball season — our penultimate evening of play.

  • YSHS golf begins

    The Yellow Springs High School golf team begins practice next week, Monday through Friday, Aug. 2–12, at 8:30 a.m. (except for Thursday practices, which begin at 8 a.m.), at Locust Hills Golf Course.

  • Football begins soon

    YSHS football practice will begin Wednesday, August 4, 5–7 p.m. Those interested in playing should call coach Craig McCann at 532-5111.

  • Sign up for YSHS volleyball teams

    The Yellow Springs High School varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams start practice on Aug. 2 at the YSHS gym. Players interested in joining either team should come prepared to practice at 5:30 every weekday.

  • Physicals night soon

    The annual sports physicals night for all YSHS and McKinney School student athletes will be held Thursday, July 29, 6–8 p.m. at Greene Memorial Hospital. Students should enter through the Vera Schneider Building at the north end of the hospital.
