  • Varsity volleyball team sweeps opponent

    The Yellow Springs varsity volleyball team dominated Dayton Jefferson in a three-set sweep last Thursday.

  • Bulldog Sports Round-up

    The YSHS boys soccer team ended a season-long winning drought on Thursday, Sept. 23, defeating the Xenia Christian Ambassadors 4–1 at home at the school’s homecoming game. Defender Elliot Cromer put the local side up 15 minutes into the match when he scored on an 18-yard looping header from the top of the penalty box.

  • Gym open for basketball

    The Yellow Springs High School boys basketball program will host open gym sessions beginning at 7 p.m. through the fall. The Tuesday session will be held at the Bryan Community Center, and on Wednesdays it will be at the YSHS gym.

  • Bulldog Sports Round-up

    Senior Nerak Patterson was the first Bulldog to cross the finish line at the YSHS track and field Friendship Invitational held in Cedarville on Saturday. Patterson, who skipped running last fall to help out the football team, ran his fastest time in almost three years while placing 35th overall out of 194 finishers.

  • Gym open for basketball

    The Yellow Springs High School boys basketball program will host open gym sessions beginning at 7 p.m. through October. The Tuesday session will be held at the Bryan Community Center, and on Wednesdays it will be at the YSHS gym.

  • Bulldog Sports Round-up

    On Wednesday, Sept. 8, the golf team hosted Bethel at Locust Hills golf course in Springfield. The team drove, chipped and putted their way through the course on a beautiful early fall day, ultimately losing the match by a score of 172–211.

  • Bulldog Sports Round-up

    In the varsity women’s race the Lady Bulldogs improved their season record with a 12th-place finish out of the 23 schools scoring. Ninth grader Talia Boutis, running in the squad’s second position, posted a new season best time of 24:23 while overcoming the challenges of the difficult Liberty Park course.

  • Sports Announcements

    Copper Cup soccer, the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten recreational league, will kick off this Saturday, Sept. 11, 10:30 a.m., at the Morgan Fields. Players do not need to be pre-registered. Bronze and Silver Cup play will also kick off this weekend.

    Despite losing by a final score of 7-2 to Springfield Catholic Central on Saturday, the Yellow Springs High School boys soccer team kept the game close throughout most of the second half.
