    The high school girls basketball team lost its home opener to Bishop Ready by a final score of 46–27 on Thursday, Dec. 2.

  • Brady rejoins girls b-ball

    The Yellow Springs High School girls basketball team has a new coach this year, but he is no stranger to coaching. This season will be Xenia native Clayton Brady’s 35th year coaching basketball. For the past two years Brady has coached the seventh-grade McKinney boys basketball team that the championship last year.

  • Bulldog Sports Round-up

    The Lady Bulldogs lost their season opener at Mechanicsburg by a score of 89–28 on Monday, Nov. 29. Alex Beer led Yellow Springs (0–1) with 12 points, four rebounds and two assists.

  • Crickets rescheduled

    A Crickets basketball makeup session, replacing the canceled third session, will be held Tuesday, Dec. 14, 4–5 p.m. at the Bryan Center. The remaining originally scheduled sessions will be held on Fridays, Dec. 3, 10 and 17, 6–7 p.m.

    The top female basketball scorer in Yellow Springs High School history, Evin Wimberly, class of 2005, is returning to coach the McKinney seventh- and eighth-grade girls basketball teams this year.   • Football party slated

    A football party for youth ages 11–18 will be held in the game room at the Bryan Center on Saturday, Nov. 27, beginning at noon. Ohio State will be playing Michigan. Food, drinks and snacks will be offered.

  • YSHS sophomore in state race

    Yellow Springs High School’s Lois Miller, who placed 43rd at the Division III State Cross Country Championship last Saturday in Columbus, is already thinking about next year’s race.

  • Bulldog Sports Round-up

    Sophomore Lois Miller’s eighth-place finish at the Southwest Ohio Regional Cross Country Championships last Saturday earned her a spot in the division III state final this weekend in Columbus. Miller becomes the third Lady Bulldog in school history to compete at the state championships and the first since 1995.
