    Hundreds of people from the village and around the region celebrated a weekend of inclusivity at the YS Pride Festival, June 24–26.

    From naturalist-guided hikes around Glen Helen and Clifton Gorge, to a plant swap and a “Trails Day Celebration” at the village train station, the plethora of festivities brought droves of local environmentalists and Earth enthusiasts out to enjoy the warm weather.

    A Irish session band held court at Ye Olde Trail Tavern on Saturday, March 12. Playing were Kenton Domer-Shank on accordion, Patrick Foose on banjo, Ken Beer on fiddle, Parker Buckley on mandolin and Tim Daugherty on the anglo concertina.

    The planned park, Ohio’s 76th, will aim to to preserve and highlight Oldtown, the site of one of the largest-known Shawnee settlements in Ohio, often cited by historians as the birthplace of Tecumseh.
