Karen McKee, born Nov. 12, 1949, to James A. McKee and Naomi J. (Adams) McKee, passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, after a yearlong illness.

Christina “Christy” Muenchau-Peterson, of Yellow Springs, passed away on Dec. 6, 2021. She was 44.

After more than a month charting a gradual decline in new COVID-19 case numbers, Ohio saw a slight rise last week, according to the most recent data from the Ohio Department of Health, or ODH.

Sue Brezine passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 30, at the age of 84. Born on Feb. 5, 1937, she was a native of Dayton, but her favorite home was Yellow Springs with her late husband, Don.

Greene County’s total of new cases reported for the week of Sunday, Nov. 28, through Saturday, Dec. 4, rose significantly, however, from the week before, with a total of 531 new cases, compared to the previous week’s total of 308.

Mills Lawn School will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 8, as a precaution while a gas leak is remediated.
