A public memorial for Daniel Pelzl, who died April 6, will be Sunday, June 25, 1–2:30 p.m., in the Great Room of the Yellow Springs Senior Center.

John Robert Frank Davis passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Hospice of Dayton.

The festivities kick off at 11 a.m. on the downtown block near Mills Lawn Elementary School and Jackson Lytle and Lewis with vendors, food trucks, community resources and more.

In usual fashion, hundreds of knickknack vendors lined the streets as succulent aromas from food trucks wafted through the crowds, and all day long, music filled the air.

He loved to tell stories, loved jokes, single malt scotch whiskey and strong coffee, his signature cowboy hat, loved to drive and fix things, and flirt.

Julia Celestia Alford Davis, of Yellow Springs, departed this earthly life on June 8, 2023, at the age of 79, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
