    Patti Mielziner and Julie Pies recently moved to Yellow Springs to open their myofascial release and therapeutic massage studio, Body Wisdom.

    Julie Pies and Patti Mielziner returned to Ohio to be closer to their immediate family and to bring their bodywork practice, Body Wisdom, to Yellow Springs.

  • Architectural bike tour— Builder Kline left mark on village

    Local residents Martha Kline, Jack Kline’s daughter, and her son, Andrew, recently visited one of the best known Yellow Springs homes designed by Martha’s father. On Saturday, July 26, Turner Foundation historian Kevin Rose will lead an architectural tour of some of Kline’s local works, including Yellow Springs High School and the Vernet Ecological Center at Glen Helen.     Formed in the wake of last summer’s tragic shooting event, the Yellow Springs affiliate of the National Association of Mental Illness, or NAMI, runs support groups for those with mental illness and their family members and friends.

  • ‘Japanese Festivals: Cooking and Culture’ rescheduled

    “Japanese Festivals: Cooking and Culture,” originally scheduled for Friday, July 18, at the library, has been rescheduled due to illness. It will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 6:30–8 p.m. Registration opens Aug. 24.

  • Cyclists, soccer tournament brings heavy traffic to village

    Yellow Springs will be the hub of several major events this weekend, giving rise to more than the usual amount of foot and automobile traffic and a road closure Saturday.

    A bus from the National Alliance on Mental Illness will be in Yellow Springs Tuesday, July 22, to help educate villagers on mental illness.

    The Odd Fellows puts on a wonderful display at Gaunt Park Friday night. The community band played as people from all over the area gathered for hotdogs, fellowship and fireworks!
