    An open house for those opposed to the Ohio death penalty will take place this Saturday, May 6, from 5 to 6 p.m. at 400 N. Enon Road northwest of Yellow Springs.

  • Arnold Adoff: A shared life and love of literature

    Author and poet Arnold Adoff moved to Yellow Springs in 1969, putting down roots in the hometown of his wife, celebrated children’s book author Virginia Hamilton, who passed away in 2002. Now nearing 82, Adoff is still writing and receiving strong reviews for his work, as well as enjoying life in Yellow Springs near his son, granddaughter and Hamilton’s extended family.     In this edition of Forgotten Springs, we take a look at a place on the Antioch campus whose planned obsolescence reflects a philosophical take on life. The Village was home to a series of Japanese teahouses, built by an Antioch professor who wanted to establish a place of reflection similar to those he enjoyed during the years he spent in Japan.
